Goods and Services Auction
Dear Congregants,
On Sunday, August 5, 2012, the Jewish Community Center of Long Beach Island will be holding our first “Goods and Services Auction.” The proceeds of this event will benefit the JCC of LBI’s Building Fund. In order to guarantee the success of this venture, we need your help. We know that there is a lot of talent and professional experience among our membership and we would like to be able to share that talent with our other members and the community at large.
For example, here are some examples of things we could list for auction
Professional services:
- Prepare a will
- Prepare a simple tax return
- Tutor a child
- Cater a meal/small dinner party
- Provide health and beauty services
- Teach Art lessons
- Share a craft
- Provide household maintenance services
Travel and Leisure donations:
- Timeshare/condo vacation rentals
Hand Crafts
- Knitting and crocheting lessons or provide a personalized item
- Donate an original work of art (painting, pottery, sculpture)
Music Lessons
- Provide lessons for any instrument
- Volunteer your musical ability for an event
Computer Skills
- New computer setup
- Computer lessons – how to do X,Y,Z
Think about your special talents, interests and professional experience. What goods or services are you willing to offer for bid? The choices are endless. Be creative. We would love if you would donate one or more item/good/service. The more items donated, the more money can be raised for the building fund.
