Tributes
One of the lesser publicized charitable funds for the JCC is the “Rabbi’s Fund.” This fund is used for a variety of charitable purposes – especially for helping those in need of emergency assistance. The fund is dispersed quietly and without fanfare so as not to embarrass the recipients. Only I know where the financial help goes. The Rabbi’s Fund is a way in which you can perform a true mitzvah – to give quietly and without fanfare. If you wish to donate – you can mail a check made out to “The Rabbi’s Fund” to the JCC, attention Rabbi Jacob Friedman
SHOPRITE SCRIPT
The Hebrew School PTO will be selling Shoprite “script” to help raise funds for the Religious School program. These “gift certificates” in $25 denominations can be used as money at local Shoprite stores and the JCC receives $50 for every $1,000 worth we purchase. Everyone needs to buy groceries so this is an easy way to raise money for the Center. It is available at the JCC Center Office.
