Are Jewish funerals permitted in a non-Jewish funeral chapel?

Question: Are Jewish funerals permitted in a non-Jewish funeral chapel?

Answer: Many Jewish communities are too small to support a Jewish funeral chapel, so funerals are often conducted in the synagogue. However, if this is not feasible, then it is permitted to conduct a Jewish funeral in a non-Jewish funeral chapel provided that all Christian symbols are removed and that the proper Jewish rituals are performed.
